Snow??

Apparently white fluffy things falling from the sky is no longer a myth this year in Jersey. While the accumulation seemed to be maybe only an inch, and the slushy rain mix now pretty much wiped away the white, it did happen. And I was awake, although not out of bed to see it! Its nice to have a window so close to bed haha.

It's days like this that my craziness wants to be at the barn. Just chilling (probably literally) inside, with my horse, and a brush, and just breathing the smell of hay. No one said horse people were sane. The road conditions have me slightly fearful, don't want to have to slam on the brakes (freaken knees!). So instead of being 2 miles up the road with my horse, I'll content myself to reading chronicle, eventing nation, horse nation, and doing wash and cleaning... Sometimes real life catches up to even the most evasive horse crazed people.

Oh, and maybe I'll get reallllly lucky and start studying (yeah, studying shows, events, and clinics I want to do).

Gettin back on the.. swing

Today my doctor informed me that I needed to stop going to PT, and start enjoying life. Apparently he realized (I didn't), that although probably accidentally, they were scaring me out of enjoying life. My PT crew was HORRIFIED that I was out at a horse show for 13 hours. At first I thought they misunderstood, and thought I was actually showing. Turns out for someone a month out of surgery 13 hour days are apparently unacceptable. Who knew?

So today I went to aerobics class. While I didn't necessarily DO half the stuff, I sure laughed and had a good time and got my happy back. Isn't that what life after surgery, or even anything is all about??

Horse related: Lizzy gave me the best hugs and kisses today. I cannot wait to see and groom and spoil her tomorrow!

Yesterday was a Big Day!

Yesterday I got back on a horse. Not just any horse, my mare.  I adore Lizzy. My knees do not

Sadly I'm going to have to listen to my physical therapist and doctor and take it easy'er... I never realized you could do less than nothing

This beautiful weather makes being unable to stand more than 45mins dang near intolerable...

Eventually I'm gonna be pain free. Eventually seems to never come. Until then I'll be sitting down, stalking any internet blog or chron o horse or eventing nation blurp I can.

No hour is wasted that is spent in the saddle; every minute out of it feels like an eternity.
